Core Concepts¶
Understanding the terminology used throughout HireMinds is crucial for both users and developers.
Job¶
A job posting that candidates apply to. It includes requirements, description, and specific AI interview configurations (persona, stages, and question banks).
Candidate¶
A user seeking employment. Candidates have profiles constructed from parsed resumes, GitHub analysis, and interview histories.
Application¶
The submission record linking a Candidate to a Job. Lifecycle states include:
- applied
- screening
- interview
- offer
- hired
- rejected
Interview Session¶
A live, AI-conducted voice conversation. It is divided into Stages (e.g., Behavioral, Technical, Conclusion).
AI Score & ATS Score¶
- ATS Score: Semantic match (cosine similarity) between a parsed resume and job requirements.
- AI Score: Post-interview evaluation based on conversation transcript, GitHub context, and specific rubrics (e.g., STAR format compliance).
Proctoring¶
Background monitoring during an interview session. Events include tab_switch, face_lost, and multiple_faces, which aggregate into a Trust Score and Risk Level.
GitHub Context¶
A background process fetches a candidate's public GitHub profile. This generates an analysis of languages used, commit frequency, and OSS contributions, injecting it as github_analysis into the AI prompt to personalize technical questions.
