Proctoring System

HireMinds implements a browser-side proctoring engine (useProctoring.ts) that runs silently during AI interviews.

Tracked Events

  • Tab Switching: Listens to visibilitychange API.
  • Face Detection: Local browser-based detection (via MediaPipe).
  • Flags: face_lost, multiple_faces_detected, tab_switch, fullscreen_exit.

Risk Calculation

Events are batched and periodically posted to /api/v1/proctoring/events. When the interview ends, ProctoringSummaryCard.tsx computes a Trust Score and Risk Level based on event severity and frequency.

Warning

Proctoring is an assistive tool for recruiters. High risk levels flag a session for manual review, but they do not automatically terminate an interview.
