Common Issues

WebSockets Disconnecting Randomly

Symptoms: Interview abruptly stops or TTS cuts off on the fallback pipeline. Cause: TCP head-of-line blocking on poor candidate connections. Solution: Check session_watchdog logs. The watchdog sweeps sessions stuck >30m and will auto-refund or grade partial transcripts. Ensure the WebRTC pipeline is active for high-latency environments.

VAD (Voice Activity Detection) Latency

Symptoms: 2-4 second delay before AI answers. Cause: Legacy server-side VAD awaits 2000ms of silence. Solution: Use the manual "Done Speaking" button (V1) or migrate to the primary Client-side VAD (V2) pipeline.

Database Seed Fails

Symptoms: seed_demo.py throws psycopg2.errors.UndefinedObject: type "vector" does not exist. Cause: pgvector extension is not installed on the local PostgreSQL instance. Solution: Ensure CREATE EXTENSION vector; is executed on your database.
